Classic Crab Cake – 8oz Cup Recipe

A classic crab cake, the most popular use of our crab. Our 8oz cups of crab help you create a fantastic crab cake that you can portion to the size you like, a little bigger as an entrée, a little smaller for an appetizer or even bite sized as an hors d’oeuvre.

  • 8 ounces Crab
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 Small egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 tablespoon Dijon Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Seafood Seasoning (like Old Bay brand)
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Crushed crackers
  • 1 tablespoon Each of Butter and Cooking Oil (for cooking)

  2. To sauté
  3. Heat a nonstick pan over medium-low heat and add the butter and oil. Allow the butter to melt and add the crab cakes. Cook for about 6 minutes, turning once, until golden brown and are heated through
  4. To bake
  5. Preheat oven to 375⁰, place cakes on a baking sheet. Cook for about 12 minutes or until golden brown and heated through.
